Top Videos

10

This is a list of videos you can use as attention grabbers at the beginning of class or as a listening assessment during a unit. We are always checking out new videos on YouTube to find a fun, new, resource to get our students excited as they hear some of the same Spanish they are studying. In my opinion, quality authentic videos are as good as gold! Let us know if you have any favorites or stumble across anything great.

    I don’t see the list???

They are hiding in a drop down menu. Hover your mouse over the “top videos” tab and you should see the list under it. Hope that helps!

    Still can’t see them!

      Elaine,

I believe Kara and Megan are speaking of the list that is on the Creative Language Blog…not You Tube. I had to re-read the message to “get it”. Go to the Header field, second line “Top Videos”

IF this is not correct, can someone post a better reply?

I showed my 4th and 5th graders the video on Biblioburro (I chose the 5 minute over the 17 minute one because of content and time) and then used Carol Gaab’s 200-word description to incorporate a literary component. Great way to show students how difficult it is to get reading books in the Third World.

    The video is at:

This made me cry! How spoiled we are here. Besides the learning a language, I hope to impart a love of culture and people other than ourselves in our own “little world” to my students…and a willingness to make a difference in this world.

Thank you to all who share on this blog.

Does anyone know how to make a donation ($$ or books) to the Biblioburro effort? May make a great class project!
